Any one got a recommendation for a good brush 3/4" to 1" that doesn't shed hairs or is very minimal? I have tried pinching mine in the vise but it still sheds real bad. Looking for a specific brand name so that will make it easier to find.

I've used basically one brush for every model I've built, from the Flite Streak years ago right up to the ARGO 2.
Same brush, still like brand new!
LIQUTEX 3/4" 'Plus" flat No. 598
I've applied Sig dope, Deft Wood Sealer lacquer and Min-wax water base with no issues at all.
I've cleaned this brush with Sig Dope thinner and Acetone every time I've used it and never has a hair pulled out of the Ferrule.
Price on my brush, 15.95. But I've had this brush 20 years. I have no idea what the cost would be today or if the brush is still available?
I do have a second brush which works well also but I don't use it often. I just prefer a 3/4" brush. This one is 1".
LIQUITEX 1" "Natural" Flat No. 160.

I recently used this for initial clear dope with good success.
2” Redtree “ONYX, 100% white China Bristle, Chisel Edge. I purchased the brush from a woodworking store near to my home.

I have used 1" -2" foam brushes that I get at wally world and from home depot, when I get thru I put them in a zip lock bag for the next use, course if left in the bag too long they set up..

When this questions was asked a few years back I got 5 of the ones MM linked to above...
One is only Nitrate and one Butyrate
still have three unused...they were inexpensive, no shedding I have had to dig out of the dope,
The clean easily, and are pretty forgiving if you do NOT clean completely... what I mean--- if it is a bit stiff...while dry, it can be worked to be back soft and continue to be used

Go Hobby Lobby and browse the art section. Remember a good brush will cost a lot more than what Home Depot or Lowes will have. Mine still get stiff even after cleaning, but I soak them in thinner or acetone before using again. H^^

Took John's advice and went to Hobby Lobby. He is right. They are more expensive but the quality is there. You get what you pay for. 1st coat with new brush and no shedding. Worth it.

Yes Hobby lobby does indeed have good brushes... and local...BUT can be a bit higher priced
My Hobby lobby has the exact same brush that Tower sells for about 2 bucks.... I do mean exact same... HLs is $7.99
Wife did get me two for Hobby Lobby around the same time I got the ones from Tower...they are very nice but still unused as she got me 2" versions for $15.89 each
I find the 1" is just about right for all the wing frame and covering doping...there are a few areas where I would prefer the same quality brush in 1/2"
Don't get me wrong... I am frugal but there are many things I pay way too much for just cuz I like the brand or longevity
But two areas where I found to scrimp and get real bang for the buck was with these brushes and my like of the Harbor Freight painting guns....I have a lot of spray painting experience with much higher end automotive and airbrush guns...Like Bink's, Iwata, Paasche.... each very good for what they are designed to do... but for much less money and I do me a LOT less money the basic Harbor freight airbrush set, the 4oz and 20 oz top feed airguns are very good value
I know slightly off topic and some of the guys with 19~20 point finishes like Larry can do with MonoKote and Rustoleum would never consider a $9.99 HF tool
