Good news from Muncie
« on: May 28, 2021, 11:07:59 AM »
I don't know if the Control Line community was as big a fan of Muncie Frozen Custard as the Free Flight guys were.
It was a sad day when when we found out they had closed the doors.
Yesterday, Vinnie told me that the space had been purchased and there is a ice cream shop there.
This is the place adjacent to the batting cage / goofy golf venue near the old Signature Inn and the Super8 and Days Inn.
We now have a reason to get out of bed in the morning.

I’ll see your Frozen Custard and raise your one Dairy Queen.  They reopened last year- and the big grocery store by the Tire Barn!

Dairy Queen has been over by the Wok-In-A-Box the entire time. A distance second to Muncie Frozen Custard.

Lee Hines and I went for BBQ once. He found it on line. It was literally a hole in the wall they handed us food through. Other than that I've not experienced BBQ in Muncie.

Might take a cautious look at Texas Roadhouse when I am there.  Recent online review do not look too promising.

Well, no.
They have ribs. That they thaw.
Every peanut-on-the-floor steakhouse has ribs on the menu.
It ain't barbecue.
