Good karma, cheap plywood
« on: October 02, 2010, 02:36:41 PM »
In the last 2 trips looking for a hobby shop i have been unsuccesful. But today I decided to go to look for a bowling allel. Now granted there are other ways to travel but I choose to walk. Even though I could grab a bus or train or pay for a cab. In my travels I saw 1 of many lottery tickes on the ground and picked it up and looked it over. Reading it I thought it may e a winner. But I was not 100% sure. I went to the bolwing alley grabbed some flyers about their league schedule. On the way back I passed michael's and popped in to grab a few sheets of plywood. 14,1/8 and 1/64 th . that was $11 and change. I walked the remaining 1.5 miles home and hand the ticked checked out in the corner shop that sells them.
Imagine the smile on my face when the machine started playing a tune. I had a $10 instant winner. So my plywood was a buck and some chane.
Now i need to find a few more for the batteries and motor. H^^

Good one, Jim.  What were the dimensions of the 1/64" ply?  There's a Michael's nearby, and I may need some for a future project.

If there is one in your area, try Rockler woodworking products.

Watch out dealing with them lotto tickets.
 Remember what happened to Earl!

Local Michaels has large sheets of aircraft ply and lite 18X 24 sound right? Not cheep but better than LHS.
