Well, I finalized plans yesterday to make it to Reno this year for my first time! o2oP I've been a racing fan my entire life having grown up around NHRA and Top Fuel Harley drag racing. Thanks, but no NASCAR please. ;D I've also been a fan of motorcycle road racing at all levels, but deep down Warbird aviation has always been the big one for me. I was lucky enough to attend the Gathering of Mustangs in Columbus last September, and have attended Oshkosh and countless other airshows over the years, even got an hour long backseat Mustang ride back in '98, fulfilling another dream. The Reno Air Races is one event that I've wanted to attend ever since I can remember.
Anyway, me and my buddy Grant will arrive at the field for the Reno races sometime Thursday morning, and then be there through Sunday night. If any of you fellow C/Ler's are also lucky enough to be there, feel free to give me a ring on my cell anytime at 507-402-4050 and maybe we can put some faces with some names.
This is gonna be sooo cool! o2oP o2oP o2oP

Look for the Stunt Hangar T-shirt. That may be me. Not sure which days I will go, but at least for a couple.

The company I work for and Joey (Gordo) Sanders have been friends a long time . I wrench a couple of G-II's Gulfstreams and a G-IV and a Sabreliner, and two of my Pilots grew up with him in a small town. I have helped him on occasions to keep the plane clean and aerodynamic (tape and seal joints),I let the main group do the critical work. It's still fun to be in the group when he wins and ride the Fire Truck up and down the flight line .
