And this is the result. We now have a 45 foot long take off pad that might also get used as a carrier deck.

How much to come build me one of those? ;D

Bob, great going! Now, if the Glue Dobbers want to host as Postal Carrier contest/try out/fun event to give the new take-off patch a try I will offer a Brodak Gaurdian kit to the winner, or prize drawing, or what ever, Your preference. I wish your entire club the best in the future! bob don't PM me on this as I can not answer any PM with this computer for some cockamanny reason that even my provider can not figure out.

Looking good Bob. The only thing that would make it look better is a little castor oil streak running down the middle. But that will come with time. #^

Funny ;D
Cost the club $1,153.00 and we did all the dirt and prep work. Hired a cement company to do the pour and finish. The formers were 1X4's with was only $40.00 of the total. The first estimate was for them to do do the whole thing and seem to remember it was around $2,500.00. We are waiting for either someone to win the lottery or a rich dude that feels sorry for us to pave the whole circle ;)

Joe, by golly we'll just take you up on that. Actually I was planning on scheduling a Postal carrier event sometime this summer anyway, your generous offer will sure give us more incentive to make it happen. We still have a couple guys in club dragging there feet getting carrier planes finished but you will be hearing from us.

More photos that Elwyn shot on Sunday.
1. Almost finished, dumping gravel.
2. Ready for cement
3. What we gonna do with all this dirt.

Looks great, all I need to do is get the old castor run out of the engines and remember what the trigger is for. H^^

Thanks Doc,
I should have read the "A few of us got out today." before posting this, didn't know Elwyn had already posted the last photos.

Understand, glad my T-Rex ARC isn't really needed this year, when the weather turned nice it kinda went to the bottom of the priority list.

Just fired up the McCoy 21/35 R/C that has sat for 36 years. That was my carrier engine way back.

Great, another one. That will make 7 carrier airplanes in Tulsa. We do have a great crew, considering the population of Tulsa we are probably one of the largest CL clubs per populace (is that a word) in the country.
