Glue tips for C A

Where can I purchase longer lengths of the thin tubing to use for longer tips for medium C A?  I haven't had any luck at local hardware/electrical supply stores.  I basically need some I can cut into long lengths to get up into the moulded leading edge sheeting on a wing as demonstrated by Bob Hunt on one of his lost foam videos.

The stuff I use is ALPHA WIRE P/N SWTFT20020 available from Allied Wire. Comes in 100' rolls.  The last two digits of the P/N describes the ID.  Google Alpha WIre and use this part number to get you to the product page.

Thanks, I went to their web site but am going to have to call for price quote.  So the size you listed works well with medium (gap filling) CA?  Is 100' the minimum order?

The size works well with medium CA and for thin you can stretch a section and the ID will decrease.  I don't know what the mininum amount is.  Mine was left over from an electronic project that I worked on years ago.

I'll go in with you for 5 or 10 feet if it isn't too pricey!  I love CA for some things but the delivery system lacks finesse.  I'll bet you can sell most of it in the Classifieds (A shameless Plug!!!).  You might become the distributor for the Midwest states!!!   Let me know by email or PM when you find out.

Hey guys, I solved the CA application problems another way.  I use pipettes instead of the tubing.  They have a very fine outlet, and if you want them for medium or thick you can simply trim the outlet back to a proper opening.  A little trial and error on that and you soon get good at doing it.   It is sooooo easy to put a tiny drop where you want it with these things.  And  - they easily reach to the front of the molded leading edges!
I get mine from Stewart McDonald luthier suppliers at www.stewmac.com at a price of $3.45 for ten.  Sometimes I also stock up at the Toledo show, but the stewmac price is as good as you'll find anywhere.  Stewmac has a minimum order of $30.00 so if you want them from there just let me know and I'll be glad to order them for you.  As a dealer the minimum doesn't apply to me; they like small shops like mine.

Pipettes are easily made from glass tubing. Hold the glass tube on both ends with pliers. Heat the center with a propane torch. When the glass is heated pull it from both ends. The heated part will stretch and form sharp pointed glass tubes. Break off the tip till it is the size hole you want. Check Ebay for glass tube. The shipping is the big expense.
