In my "prime" I used to burn 60 to 70 gallons a year! And that was with a 6 ounce tank! I am now a mere shadow of my previous years.
Can we stop with the "fires"! Ken
Here's my new twin design, the Wildfire. (Crossfire... Wildfire... Get it?)Bob Hunt
Here's the plane I was bringing, except I'm unable to attend this year, and Mule #4 has a little more rehab before he's ready for competition again.Enjoy the NATs, everyone, and thanks for all the work, Dave Trible.dg
It is so nice, elegant...so AWESOME!Good luck at the Nats, Bob!
Ok. 250 is a fair number to consider the plane to be "minimum Nats trim." I managed to get in 28 flights on Thursday alone evalutating one trim change. ... my total flights for the June WEEK ending 115.I should click over 250 by next week. Weather permitting.Thats just JUNE .. (If you want to know the quantity for the year.. thats a secret for my log book ) but putting close to 4000 flights for the calender season isnt problematic. 1500 flights a year only equates to flying 14 flights on Saturday and 15 on Sunday for a weekend. Thats not really "pushing" it..
Reply to Matt,Sorry to report this set of C/F wing landing gear legs came from an RC kit that is no longer available. Three blind mounting nuts/bolts hold each gear secure to a plywood plank sitting on spars secured to the glass covered sheet balsa skins. Quite strong and light.dg
Here's mine. Made some mods to my last year's plane and gave it a new paint job.
It matches the handle Cheers
It looks much more gooder than it used to!Jerry
Jerry,Looks good! I like it!Thanks Joe
If I were able to attend this year, this would have been my entry. Hopefully next year.
This would have been my entry. PA .75 with header. Maybe next year.Keith
