I was down on my luck, once.  Started selling scrap copper to make my Biscayne payments.  Was doing okay until I forgot to unplug the K-Mart fan before stripping the copper wire from the beast.  Yikes.  Got $14 for the alternator before they towed it to the bank.  What would the bank want a Biscayne?  With no alternator?  Like a Fender with no strings.  Silent.
