Glow Plug Clip
« on: November 23, 2010, 10:44:19 AM »
I am looking for the old fashion glow plug clip.  I am not interested in the Sullivan variety.  A friend has a solid red one.  He says it is a Magnum clip.  Where might I find one?

Last I looked for Hobby People's site, I didn't find it, so Roger's post reminded me to try again. It's working! Here's the link to the clip you want. The combat guys modify it by making the divot for the post shallower, so it comes off when they let go of the model.  Click on the link below.  @@^ Steve

I am looking for the old fashion glow plug clip...

Interesting...to some of us, "old fashioned" brings back memories of alligator clips and door bell batteries.  ;D  H^^  S?P

Melvin at MBS Model Supply has those.  At least I think he still carries them.  I have a spare one and one I use considerably.  Even have a cord made up with Alligator clips on one end.  Have them staggered so they don't get together and short out.  I do not like the head lock thingy.  The alligator clips are easy to pull off once engine is started.  Th Magnum clips are easy to get off also during a pit stop in racing.
