Title: Getting tuned up....
Post by: Paul Taylor on May 05, 2011, 06:42:03 PM
Arlan and I went out to start the flying season. He is trimming out his new Vector ARC. It sure looks good to me in the air. He still needs to add the trim tab to the wing, but he wants to see how it flys first. LA .46 hauls the mail.

I am trying to get tuned up for the Marietta contest in a week. ;D I got two patterns in before the baseball players took over the field. ::)

It will be my first time flying over a paved circle. %^

Here is a few photos of Arlan's plane.

Paul,

Alan's plane looks pretty good.  As for flying over pavement, remember this...keep flying "over" the pavement ;)

Why is the end of the flap missing on the plane?

I have no hangups' about flying over concrete.

Just remember : Your plane ends up in just as many bits when it hits grass as concrete.

I didn't want to make the tab adjustable if it wasn't needed, which it's not, so now I'll just glue it on instead of hinging it.

....though your engine may wind up in a few more pieces...  ;)
