This weekend was better then it has been in weeks. We were below 100 degrees and had a slight breeze. We had our club meeting this morning and it was perfect flying weather. But would you just know after an hour meeting the sun came out and it started to warm up and make the over heads a little tough to fly thru the sun. But I will take what I can get.
Lou, Jim and myself was at the field and I was very blessed to have my old wing man Ryan with me. Ryan came home a few weeks ago and we talked about flying and how he missed it. I asked if he wanted to do the WSKI contest and he said sure dad!. So I spent last week dusting off this Tutor II and making sure fuel lines and tank were in order. He was a little rusty and had a few close bottoms today but by the end of the day he had the pattern back down.
I am so looking forward to next weekends contest. Allen and Charlie put on a great contest.
Jim Lynch has been recovering from hip replacement and I was very surprised on how quickly he is bouncing back. He did not think he would be ready to fly until September, but has been feeling so good he put up two flight with his Ares. He will be flying at WSKI next weekend!!! You go Jim!
Lou was going to fly his Challenger but it had some issues, so he is going to work on his Bear Profile. He lost his only contest plane earlier this summer.
Any way here are a few photos from today. (Ryan aka Propbuster was behind the lens)
