Riddle - How to you transport a double size Ringmaster in the typical SUV (84" span)?
I won't fit in my car .... I have to use my 5x8 trailer, it fills the floor of the trailer!
Who ever decided it was a good idea to build this model as a one piece model should be evaluated by a professional.

Fred you could cut the wing panels off and make them removable. Lew did the with one of his Sharks for over seas travel. D>K

That “.60 sized ship” is a tip tank, likely the left one off the F-104 in the back ground. I’m curious as to wether the 104 deposited it in the VW or if the Bug picked it off the 104.

And is a good illustration of how thin the F-104 wing is! Judging from the position of the tank in the VW, I would think the 104 deposited it there. I don't know if the VW had enough mass or power that it could know it off. But what looks like a rope tied to the bump of the Bug adds another twist to the question??? Did you ever get to add that one to your log book Bruce?

Ha…I’m not that old…
I do have a few hundred hours of F-106 time. My only century series fighter.

I'm envious.

If it was a -104 tank, it could easily have been rammed by the bug on the ramp.

Scroll down until you see that the tank centerline is below the beltline of the maintainers.
The wingtips on most planes were much higher. A guy I worked with once chopped his forehead open pretty badly while we were working around an F/A-18C on a wingtip-mounted sidewinder fin. He wasn't that tall--but he didn't have clearance. Awareness is everything....
