Hi

Recently our club had to move to a new field as a new landowner of our old field didn't want us there. We found a landowner who let us rent a new property to use as a new field. This is mostly good as it let us build a new field in a better way for both RC and CL pilots. However, the old field was located in the middle of nowhere and the new field is located very close to an old railway bank now used as an bicycle road between two small towns and that, my friends, is BAD  >:( A member of our club visited the new field today and vandals has been there and destroyed the fences and probably other things too  >:( I guess that mines is the only solution....  :X

Maybe try and find the vandals - forgive them and teach them to fly.

Good idea, but today's youth doesn't work that way, everything should be ready immediately and when it breaks its over with. These vandals need to be sent to a boot camp and be teached respect the army way!

Sad to hear.. If our field wasn't on private land with one of our members living on site (me) we couldn't near have as nice a facility as we do.  About all you can do is either make everything vandal proof or have everything portable so you can tear it down and take it with you.

Hmmmm....
Or find the Vandals and bury them under one of the trees for fertilizer.

At the field I fly at now there is a gate that is locked when no one is there.  If you are not a member of the radio club you do not get in unless a member is there ahead of you.  Even at that some people manage to get in the back way and do damage.  The portable potty has to be put back in place at least twice a year.  DOC Holliday
