old plane

I have a plane that was Big Art's and I want to identify it. It is a 42 inch wingspan with a "C" tube leading edge and a formed trailing edge. There are kit type stampings on the ribs. It is a built up fuse with the motor on it's side (like a ringmaster sportster). The root chord is about 10 1/2 inches and the tip is about 9 1/4. It looks like it could be a SEMIscale ME 109. Please help me find the origin of this plane.
