On Saturday morning, (July 4 ) Joe Gilbert and I drove down to a fun fly at Daryl and Yong Mccomb's house in Harrah, Oklahoma which is 23 miles east of Oklahoma City. Daryl has a toy poodle named Rocky who was lugging around a well worn Frisbee that he was wanting someone to throw it for him so that he could retrieve it. Daryl has a circle in his back yard and a whole bunch of 1960's muscle cars sitting around. Unfortunately, Elwyn Aud wasn't with us, so we have no pictures of the cars or controline airplanes that were there.
The OKC guys who showed up were ; Ron Cribbs, Larry Oakley, David Rice, David Kauer, and Mike Finnegan. Mike brought one of Marvin Denny's old time stunt airplanes, ( A Testor's Senior 29 powered with a 1954 Fox .19) and donated it to the Tulsa Gluedobbers for the September contest raffle. I brought a built Shark .15 to give away, ( I got it from Jack Sheeks) and Ron Cribbs ended up with it. Joe Gilbert flew an electric stunter which some of the guys had never seen.
We flew airplanes (there were a bunch there ) until it started raining. Then we retired to Daryl and Yong's house and had hot links, hamburgers, with all the fixings ( supplied by Daryl and Yong) and a chocolate cake donated by David Rice. The rain only lasted for 15 minutes.
We talked about some old absent friends; John Ashford, Jim Phillips and Marvin Denny.
It was a very enjoyable visit to Harrah, thanks to Daryl and Yong. Perhaps the Tulsa Gluedobbers can return the favor pretty soon.

Thanks De,
I had a great time! Maybe we can do a Tulsa visit sometime.

Here is the Shark,
I repaired all the holes in the wing, it's not real pretty as I didn't have the right color dope to match, but at leasts it's not going to languish anymore.
It looks to have been built very straight and should fly well. I chose a Fox .15BB for power.
I really appreciate it De.

Hi Ron,
I'm glad you like it. I brought it to Harrah because I didn't have room for it in my garage.
I could not see throwing it away.

I forgot to thank Mike Finnegan for donating Marvin Denny's old time stunt Testor's Senior 29 airplane for the Tulsa Gluedobber's September contest raffle.
Thanks, Mike!
