For a 46 sized plane, consider Cardinal Evolution. I'm building one, used the wing & tail feathers from Brodak profile Cardinal, made up a fuselage. Some surgery needed in wing center section to relocate the bellcrank so it is in center of the fuselage. Setup for my OS46LA.

Tom Dixon has plans for both a 40/46 and a 51/60 full body Cardinal.

From his website ... Dixon Cardinal - Rework of Brodak Cardinal for serious competition. $10.00

Dixon Cardinal 60 - enlargement of the above for .51-.60 engines. $10.00

He also sells a foam wing core for the 51/60 size.

Windy Urtnowski used to make them. I have two kits, one is the 89 and the other is the 92. Yours if the price it right and you live in the lower 48. Both use .51 to .60 engines. H^^

Foam Wing?

I have one of Windy's early kits for the Cardinal and it is hand cut but extremely well done and th wood selection is superb.

I may or may not get around to building it someday... n~  Might consider selling it!

Rats, cant find a foamy kit anywhere these days anymore. Don't have the surface to do built up wings .... at least not straight built up wings. And ARF's are repair and modify jobs in waiting, which kills the whole point. Umland is on Hiatus so not fuse and tail feather short kits with a Hunt wing. Depressed feelings I experience.

I can't answer for Ty of course but I can tell you that these were very expensive kits when new.  I most definitely would not sell mine for less than $250.00, as I paid $300.00 for it!

Incidentally, you might be able to get a foam wing and stab/elevator fully sheeted from Bob Hunt.  It certainly would not be cheap but his work is impeccable!

Just a suggestion!

Ty,
Apologies for interrupting you conversation with this gentleman but I thought his comment was a bit insulting!

Sorry.

Tom Dixon still sells foam wing kits for a bunch of planes. Call him, and cheer up!  LL~ Steve
