Title: fuel tank
Post by: Bootlegger on March 13, 2014, 11:01:13 AM

Fellow's I am looking for a clunk tank for profile models that is about 3 oz cap, and has a "tongue" on the side, and has two vent lines and an opening for the clunk.
I have used them on R/Master and other 25 powered models, but can't find the Mfg or a model # to order some more.
If y'all can help, I sure would appreciate it...

It might help if we knew weather or not you're talking about a plastic tank or a metal one. A sketch might help also! It kind of sounds like you're talking about a "chicken hopper", but maybe not....

That sounds like a Hayes tank:

I knew when I posted that request that y'all would come thru for me ... Kraft Hayes is a BINGO, blanked out the card..

   Again thanks ...

Yes - It is a Hayes 3 oz. plastic clunk tank.  I just ordered three of them from Omni; currently on backorder and expected to arrive sometime in mid March.  Same situation at Tower.  Interestingly, both outlets have plenty of the Hayes 4 oz. tanks.

Gil,
You might want to do a search on this forum for the FP20 setup. Brett found a very reliable tank setup using the Hayes tank.

That would have been The Dirt, not me. I have run it and it works fine, but Dan pioneered it. I use(d) a Sullivan ss-4.

Get the 4 ounce Hayes tank. It only holds 3.5 ounces anyway. I have several and they work fine converted to uni-flow.
