Title: Fuel Tank size for LA25
Post by: Dudley_Lang on July 29, 2014, 07:46:49 PM
what oz fuel tank would you recommend for a super combat streak that would allow enough time to fly a stunt pattern.  I am not flying combat but using it as a stunt trainer.  If anybody has this plane and engine setup and you have a tank that fits, would you please let me in on iit

My OS FP 25 burns FP25 burns 3 oz in 7.75 min (0.39 oz/min); an La 25 should be about the same.
5 minute flights would need maybe a 2 oz tank.  2.5 oz may be better.

It needs about 3 ounces of 10%. I use a Sullivan SS-4 clunk tank, set up for either suction or uniflow, but I have it suction with muffler pressure. See these posts

This is an outstanding stunt engine, and will serve very well on most of the Skyray 35/Flite Streak sized airplanes. Most importantly, DO NOT MODIFY IT, no extra head gaskets, no smaller venturi, no need to go to front needle, etc. It's fine straight out of the box, and I am pretty picky.
