I have bought 7 gallons of fuel this year and just a $1.00 price increase on the last group but, One of our other fliers bought a gallon of 10-18 powermaster yesterday and it was $19.99 per gallon. Is everyone seeing a $5.00 increase from their supplier?

Nope, one dollar was it for my Rich's Brew from Rich's Hobbies in Texas. Total of $11.00 a gallon delivered to the Toledo show.

That sounds like the single gallon price. Cheaper when you can get it in bulk supplies. DOC Holliday

There is currently a nitro shortage and it's driving up the cost of fuel. The more nitro, the higher the hike. People that are flying R/C heli's using 30% nitro are seeing prices of $35-$45 a gallon. The guy that makes Wildcat fuel says the cost of nitro has recently doubled. All of this is very recent. Hobby shops that have a good supply might still have the "good old" prices. If you're flying 5% or 10%, shouldn't be that much of a hike.
If you run a search for nitro methane, you'll find more info.

There may sstill be some gouging going on. Most people (I fly RC helis) are paying $30 - $35 per gallon for 30% heli fuel, but some stores are charging closer to $50.
But no doubt about it, prices are going up. So if you LHS has fuel at the old price, stock up.
