Front Row Sparky
« on: July 04, 2011, 06:24:12 PM »
Appearance judging was today, and our gracious host was in the front row. Flanked by Jim "20 pt" Aron and first time front-row winner Bruce Perry from the Great White North, his P-47 received 19 points.

Surprised to hear that Sparky is flying a P-47 (sounded like Bruce, but ain't). Congratulations to all three.  y1 Steve

Congratulation Sparky. And to Jim Aron and Bruce Perry. Well done!

Just think. Without B.O.M. and Appearance points, we would not have that great display of beautiful airplanes in one room.

Great job Sparky! I know you have had ups and downs at the Nats in the past, but you're starting this one off right! Is this a new P-47 or one you pulled off the wall?

Congrats to Jim and Bruce also. Looks like a great group of airplanes.

Did PTG show up? I thought he would be in the front row also.

I gotta ask...did Howard show up at the 180 Bldg. in his JCT Summer Dress Uniform, or shorts and a sweaty T-shirt?  LL~ Steve

Now they have to go out and actually fly them. This is what separates us from the rest!!

Congradulations to all three, especially Sparky.  Now we know why he has been so quiet on here.  Hope it flies as well as it looks. H^^

Sparky must have been using the time to polish. All three look beautiful. I've seen Jim's plane live and in person. It is a gorgeous piece. Bruce always does a stand up job.

All three beautiful planes for sure. If that is Sparky's 7 year old P-47, I have held it in my hands. It is fabulous, and very light. Way to go Sparky.
