If you've got one, they like traditional 30% castor, but probably o.k. with a castor/synth mix, more c than synth.
Will also respond well to 20% nitro.
They were a copy of the then current K&B.

Rustler is too modest to mention that he makes a very nice replica of this engine. Quality is first rate. Reminds me of the motto that England used in the 50's
'It's British, it's got to be good'

We usta say that too before we became a throw-away society and out-sourced nearly everything. I remember buying a nice little Motorola portable radio (remember those ;D ) that had a sticker on the back that said, "Made in America by highly skilled well paid American workers". Must have been a union label 8) .
Rustler, why don't you post some pics and particulars?
I think there were some other replicas of that K&B .29 back in the day, perhaps Russian, Indian?

Edit: Curiosity got the best of me so I searched and found that there is one on our favorite auction site if you want to see what one looks like. Looks like never run: http://cgi.ebay.com/FROG-500-U%2FC-OR-FF-MODEL-AIRPLANE-ENGINE,-SUPER-RUNNER_W0QQitemZ370172999566QQcmdZViewItemQQimsxZ20090315?IMSfp=TL090315129003r6349
