While it is still on my mind and I think the water works is shut down I am going to post this. As often been said we never say what we really feel about people we know and get to know. Even family members sometimes fall by the way side. Going to the stock car races on a Friday nights I used to go home as soon as the races were over. A friend that used to meet me at the track got me to going to the pits and saying hi to the drivers. 99% don't even know my name but, if I happen to miss going and saying hi one week the next week they ask what happened. I am just an old man with a beard that wears suspenders that tells them how much I enjoy their driving. A couple have already gone on to their eternity but, not from racing.
So I want to use this thread to tell everyone in the model airplane world how much I like them. Yes as the preacher used to tell us, you can't hate anybody, you just like some more than the rest. So take care and as the Old Red Head used to say, "GOD BLESS".

Doc,
Thanks for the post. This subject became dear to me recently when I was home (Lexington KY). Checked on a friend that I met and flew with some 55 years ago, and found that he had passed away earlier this year. I had not spoken with him since the end of last year. I contacted the rest of our small group and told them how much I have appreciated their friendship over the years. They responded the same way. We shared some memories.
I think it was Will Rogers who said that a stranger is just a friend you haven't met.
Take care of yourselves friends.
