Were there 20 or 40 appearance points in CLPA then?

Pretty sure is was still 40 points Rich.  Not sure exactly when it changed.  I just noticed an error on the photo caption for the senior combat guys.  David Bush was on team Dinosaur-  Bernie had the mono boom which was pretty unusual for that time.

Combat Pic:

Incorrectly captioned. Bernie flew his "Motivator" and Bush was flying the "Dinosaur".

I have no idea why I remember that.

Three in a row at Glenview NAS.
Got to know my way around Waukegan, IL quite well by 1972.

Hey Paulie..   I won JR. Rat Race that year..   It was my 11th birthday..       Right after that I jumped in Go carts..  Then a zillion years in a Stock car..  Now back to model airplanes..    I still think "Trimming" a Stock Car is easier that trimming a stunt ship..

Blessings

Mike

Was Glenview really three years in a row.  1970 my brother Bob and wives attended.  In 1972 it several of us that went on my old Dodge wagon.  I think 72 was the year rain put David out of the running for stunt against Denny Adimisin.  Of course I am getting old. ???
