Found new place to fly
« on: February 22, 2012, 10:12:30 AM »
I secured permission to use this place for personal C/L flying.  The distance between the trees is just over 200 feet.  The softball backstop in the corner gives protection to non flyers who may be watching.  It's well away from any occupied buildings and only 0.8 miles from my house.  It is flat and kept well mowed.  I may offer to help with the mowing.  It's owned by a church, and the softball field is rarely used except on Sunday afternoons in spring and summer.  I'm semi retired so that won't matter much.  North is at top.

I would say, B I N G O !!!   #^

With permission to use their field will save you lots in gasoline and time, i belive  y1.
This sounds to me like a gift from the friendly church and the Lord  y1.
I remember as a 14 years old ,bicycling 5 miles to the next club-field with
my new finished Graupner-Cougar + ST.C35 Stunt holding under my left arm.
Maybe you can recruite young Softballplayers into our Sport ?.
Now it only takes 10minutes by car to reach my flying spot,
same field  young student Richard Kornmeier ::)
took his first FAI F2B lessons ten years ago from n1 Geza Egervary R.I.P. .
Our gas prices are jumping into "nuts and grazy" those days  ~^  HB~> mw~.

My best wishes Peter  H^^

I hate pessimists, I prefer optimists.
Impossible is done immediately, miracles take longer.
I don't care who your father is ......... as long as I fly here,
Nobody walks, runs, floats or flies across my circle ......... not even to fetch fish, wine or bread.
