Airplane pix from Signal Seekers Contest
« on: August 21, 2006, 01:25:02 AM »
Here in Miochigan we had our annual Michigan Control Line Championships this past weekend. Captain Curt CD'd the show for the Signal Seekers. The turn out was great and we had a great time.

I sure did!! It really was an accident Leroy. I do like that sucker better everytime I fly it. I'm scoring high appearance points and consistently getting 500 plus scores with it at contests. It's the third one I built. Each time I made a new one I'd build in the changes I thought would make it better. I think I'm there now. So I'll build another one as close to identical as I can.

We had some very good flyers this weekend. The scores were very close.

Frank, did you have good weather Sunday? did you judge as well? I know you were a busy boy Saturday. I am bummed I missed the Victory fly. Did it fly better than your Pathfinder?

Joe Peter's Cardinal looks great. I see I missed some more nice planes. I would have been better off staying at the contest, the party was a bust.  :(

See you before the Rouge Park event

The weather was pretty windy Sunday but not so bad it scared anyone off.
Victory flies maybe 10 times better than the Pathfinder. I have some ideas for a new Pathfinder that will make a much better flying model. So this winter I plan to build a new Victory just like this one and a new Pathfinder only better.

I missed giving you the bottle of Coopers but John told me you at least got the 5% from him.

I didn't judge Sunday but I did a lot of stooge work for the other flyers. Every one has their own way to get the engine started so I had a heck of a busy day.

I'm nipping the top flyers in the butt now. And I still can get  better.
