Sparky,
Well it just happened again for about the umpteenth time. I went to mark the new posts as read and instead Logged Out of the forum!!
I normally remain signed in "Forever" and just click "Show unread posts since last visit" to keep abreast with the current activity. My problem is that the "Mark all messages as read" button is at the right hand edge as is the "Logout" button. I periodically accidentally click the "Logout" when I intend to just mark the new posts as read. I don't know if others have this problem (if that is what it is) but if you can move the "Mark all messages as read" button to the left side or even in the center, it might stop me from blundering into accidentally logging off! ;D
Thanks, whether you can and will move the button or not. This is a great forum and you do a wonderful service to the control line community!! y1 #^

But "logout" is up in the upper left, and "mark as read" is just above and below the message list!
Perhaps if you got into the habit of always using the bottom "mark as read" button you'd avoid that nasty logout button.

Well Tim,
The Logout button on my screen is in the upper RIGHT portion of the window! y1
Anyway, I AM in the habit of of ALMOST always using the "Mark all messages as read" button but give an Octogenarian a break, I do goof up now and then and maybe Sparky can help me out here!!

I am sorry it would take too much work to move the buttons.

Oops.
You know, I always manage to drive on the correct side of the road, but until I almost sawed my left index finger off when I was 8, I couldn't tell my right from left. Then I could tell because my left hand has this honkin' big scar on it. Later, I could tell because my left hand was the one I'd start to glance at to see which is right and left.
I still have the scar. I can see that I should get back into the habit of looking for it.

Tim, I thought I was the only one! I lost a finger on my left! hahaha

My icon for the mark all messages as read is not even close to the log out icon. Of courst I go thru each of the sections one at a time and skip the sections I have no interest in or do not feel qualified to give answers. Some of it is just to complicated for this old man.

Well Doc,
I guess that the two buttons are not all that close but it somewhat depends on how many new unread messages are present.
Anyway, Sparky says it is not an easy fix and I can live with that. LOL

Hey I have problems hitting the wrong icon when I am on the forums too. Especially when you spend about 15-20 minutes getting a new post ready with pictures and then, bingo, wrong icon and message disappears into cyber space, where ever that is. S?P

on a related note,, what happened to the " show unread messages" ,, it no longer shows ,, or did I do some stupid thing to loose it,,

Mark,
Must be you --- shows up on my Stunt Hanger window next to my Avatar.

Had to go look, as I only use that on the Barton site. Just as John says.
