Yes, I have seen that before and I didn't realize it would be a problem to read it. But I understand about 1/2 of the people around cannot read it. ???

And then there is the 1/2 of the people who can't read at all....

On my home system, the spell checker works on everything. Web browser, emails, text boxes, whatever. Makes it easier. Wish I had that on this computer.
Mark,
Leo spells fine. LL~

Yep, but a bunch got High School Diplomas, and a few even get College Diplomas! For real............

Thanks Randy, I used to spell better when I worked on the newspaper but am really rusty typing and it seems both of my index fingers have gotten larger over the years. Mark is just picky picky, we can just consider the source of that comment. He has been cooped up too long this winter. I think we should find him a maze. LL~ LL~ LL~ LL~ LL~ LL~ LL~ HB~>

Leo,
I think we are all getting a bit of cabin fever. The weathe liars say that it will clear up tody and be decent tomorrow. I hope to get some flights in. Guess we'll see. The weather report is changing hourly.

When I was a junior in high school I took one of the tougher spelling tests that I have ever taken. It was multiple choice. Each word was spelled five different ways and we had too pick which one was correct. On most of the words at least two spellings looked exactly right to me.
a. diferent b. diffrent c. diffront d. different e. diferrent
Most were a lot worse than the example I gave. Some were worse than those word problems that go like "If John has a fish, and Sally has three kittens, what color is Rover's doghouse?"
-
The clue there is that he has only one fish, therefore the doghouse must be green! y1 y1 y1 D>K D>K

Actually I think I can read it better the the strait stuff. When I worked on the newspaper I could read backwards an upside down. This was the way we had to find lines for galley corrections. I would imagine most of you have no clue to what I am talking about, but if you are intersted i can probably tell you the details. n~ n~ n~ n~ HB~>

<<<<For all the spelling critic's>>>>
The word "critic" (noun) when pluralized uses NO apostrophe. An apostrophe is used only when:
1) signifying ownership (the critic's Datsun, the critic's Nissan, etc.)
2) a contraction of "is". (the critic's a nerd, or the critic's a rice pilot.)
But far be it from me to critique anyone's spelling, grammer, choice of automobile identity...
Heh, heh...

"etaoin shrdlu" to you and yours, then, oldtimer! I walked among the gear on the typesetting / composition floor, my ownself, during 1959 - 1963. What the heck was the name of the trolley that each page was laid out on top of? I had started reading plain upside down while either blocking or rolling the papers, for home delivery, in 1950 - 1952.
( Shouldn't we be in "Off-Topic"-? )

There's a good reason for spelling correctly, and punctuation, too. I can't claim to be perfect, but I try. Too many don't even try to spell or punctuate reasonably well, making it difficult to read their posts at best, or impossible to understand (and care about) their problem. It results in a lot of following posts with bad information, or asking questions about whatever their problem is, that should not be needed.
Spell checkers don't work when you choose the wrong word (chose/choose, lose/loose, etc.). Too many can't even select the correct word. Talk about dumbing down America! It starts with each one of us. Correct spelling and punctuation tells readers that we're educated and maybe even reasonably bright. Then, finally, we have to select the correct or most appropriate smiley face icon... y1 Steve
