Title: Foam Hot Wire Cutter. WANTED!
Post by: Avaiojet on June 28, 2017, 06:29:59 PM
I'm looking to "borrow" a foam hot wire cutter. I'll pay shipping in both directions and I will return it.

Thanks in advance.

If your looking for the home made, crude, basic but works foam cutter I may be able to help. The bow will easily cut a 45 inch core.

MM,

Yes, I know one can easily be made. No interest in that.

Perry,

The wing is 24" each side. What do you have?

I sent 2 pictures to your avaiojet email. I couldn't find the cfc email. It will cut a 45 inch panel with ease.

You're welcome to use mine.  It ain't fancy but it works!  48" handle with an effective 44" cut ain't gonna be cheap to ship unless you wanna' come pick it up or pay for Greyhound which should be about $25 with everything packed and ready to use (jus' approximatin' / guessin' though)!

Why don't you just have some one cut what you want? it has to be cheaper than paying to ship a rig both ways, not to mention the foam you will waste getting through the learning curve, and the potential of damaging some one's equipment and then you have to replace it!!!!! Making your own rig suddenly sounds better!!!!???? Or just buying a few cores that you need and be done!!!?????

  Just sayin'!

Dan, you know that this is Charles asking to borrow this so do not expect anything to be done in a logical manner.

 LL~ LL~ LL~

You guys are so correct.  ;D

Yes, shipping both ways is an issue and that cannot be done.

No learning curve, I've cut many foam wings. Like riding a bike or a horse you don't forget.  n~

I just have a few small 1/2 things to cut and I have just enough old foam.

I have an opportunity for a few small engines.

Thanks for the replies.
