Didn't want to hijack the other thread but talk about flying field woes, living out away from town is great but it has it's moments..
First I had a crawdad problem, they would tunnel up to the surface and leave the typical dirt mound. About have that under control then this summer an armadillo family moved in under an out building and decided the grub worms under the surface of my circle were good eating. I have dispatched 5 so far but still have one that digs little holes just about the right size for a wheel to drop into. Haven't been able to capture him in a trap or catch him out in the open so I can take care of the critter. Really need to spray to kill the grubs.
Then today I looked out and noticed a brown pile of something in my flying circle that didn't belong. Walked out and found this..

Bob,
Whatever it is definately needs more water in it's diet. Yikes. LL~
I've shot 5 Racoons this summer (they love to dig in the trash and dig up the lawn - to say nothing of tormenting the dog). I think they expand exponentially. I've gotten rid of 5 and now, by my count, have at least 15 living in the area. What, does killing the things off attrach them? Doesn't seem very smart, but hey, they keep coming.

Looks like Bob's got a visiting venison. SH^ LL~ Steve

A deer tag (any sex) and your favorite weapon (bow/gun) can fix that problem. :##

General consensus seems to be it was a horse, kinda weird as none of my neighbors have horses, goats and chickens but no horses. Kinda makes me wonder where this critter came from. At least I know it wasn't something that might eat me.

Bob,
Got ant elk in your vacinity? I guess that's my guess in the "Name That Scat" contest. . .

Bob,
Make that ANY elk! Those "ant elk" are pretty rare. One of these days I'll learn to read over something I've written before I hit the post button.

Yep I have clean my share of horse stalls in my teenage years. I am talking tons of that stuff.
Any time a new guy got hired, we would just pick up a turd throw it at them. Hey is was just a little horse poop. LL~

Could it be alien( to us city slickers) maybe the UFO center needs to be alerted and come out to test for radiation VD~

Save it for making fires to stay warm this winter, You may have to stay upwind. Actually this is not as bad as our field a few years ago. I went out there to fly and we had a ditch right thru the middle of our circle. It is really hard not to get stressfull when this happens. It took them all summer to get it fixed and then they put a really lousy top coat on it. When they worked on it they also parked their heavy equipment on it. mw~ mw~ mw~ mw~ mw~ mw~ HB~> HB~> HB~>
