Flying at Buder
« on: June 03, 2017, 06:28:54 PM »
We finally got our first flights of the summer.  The circle was still dirty from the flooding but Brian and Ben both had several good flights and I got some on my new 6S setup.  Will try again to post some pics.  First pic is me giving Ben a launch.

You must be visiting relatives.   Is the circle still ln in Springfield.  Dave has our circle in good shape.  Np Pictures as Dave was working and I was alone mastering the new stooge from Brodak.

Yes we are, heading home in the mourning.  We still have a nice circle in Springfield.  It should finally be dried out after all the rain, plan to be out there on Monday if the weather cooperates.

Looks like they used the power brush on the square pad a bit but didn't finish the job. You should have seen it last weekend! If Beth got on your case about coming home dirty today, you probably wouldn't have been let in the door last week! It's supposed to be a while until we can get the water truck in there to wash it off.

I hope to get a few in tomorrow. The donut was a lot cleaner last week, might use that instead.

She just shook her head and laughed asking how we could manage to get that dirty on asphalt, I told her it takes talent :).  Get some good flights today buddy.

Thanks for the update I met Dan at Buder today and got these pictures, the county took a blade to the square pad and removed the grass edge which is what it needed to be done before they repave it which was planned before the flood happened.

The flying site is in very good shape considering what it looked like a month ago. here is no reason not to come out and flying at the park now. There is a very thin layer of mud and dirt on the circles but that is manageable

the picture shown here is Dan flying his Atlas with a ST-.61

The square pad was edged by the county when they took a blade and removed the high grass that had grown up around the edge of the circle

I'll ditto what Fred says, there is no reason not to go out to Buder.  I would have liked to have seen Dan's new one.
