Flute streak
« on: April 09, 2015, 06:00:08 AM »
I have a flight streak trainer that I have had for years.  Decided to put together.  What line length do you guys suggest.  And should I use the solid lead outs they supply with kit. Or could I use braided ones instead

Solid leads are good, however they tend to catch, bend, and cause problems from this later while cable leads are flexible and tend to not catch or kink as easily.  I would say cable lead outs are better.

If you put a .15 on it it might like 50 ft lines better, with a .25 it might like 60 ft lines better.

I had Streak Trainer with a plain bearing 35 and 60' lines.  It flew a lot better than you would think with the solid flat bottom wing.  I could get it inverted and do outside loops and lazy eights.

I'm using the trainer to teach my wife to fly. OS 25FP on 52 .015 lines. Solid lead outs, no problem.

I run an LA 25 or a full sized Flight Streak, and it flies just fine!

Solid leadouts on your Flute Streak will be fine.  50 feet with a 15 should be fine.

You'll be able to play a tune on it.

The problem with electric is that once you get the smoke generator and sound system installed, the plane is too heavy.
