Our sincere thanks to all who braved the winds, flew and/or attended our Veteran's Day Fly In.
The dinner Friday evening was enjoyed by all and promised to be a popular activity at our future events.
Attendees were from St. Augustine, Stuart, Orlando, Jacksonville, Oviedo, Longwood, Palm Bay, Palm Coast and South Carolina.
Special thanks to Walter Umland and Bob Zambelli.
Bob Zambelli brought, along with many other models, the new "Cardinette", and the "Triple". The Cardinette flew very well despite windy conditions.
Walter Umland brought the La Donna in "Bare Bones" and many commented about the beautiful workmanship.

Hey Roger! I'm happy that your Fly-In was a success! I'm sure the gusty winds made for some interesting flying ..... very windy here in Lakeland. On thursday, I had a family matter come up so I had to bail out of my trip over on saturday. Not to happy about it, but it had to be taken care of. I've got a pile of stuff still in the corner of the garage that was destined for the swap meet .... including a SCORE thats always in my way. Know anyone that wants it for 50.00?? LOL! I believe you had an OTS sign up sheet .... please put my name on it for the contest next year.
Below is my Vampire I planned to bring to show off ..... had a chance to fly it on sunday AM, and while the plane flew good, the Fox29 has got to go. I've got a Brodak 25 on order .... should be here mid-week. Hopefully the mounts will be close, or I gotta do surgery to a brand new plane. Yuck!!
Hope to see you very soon! Larry

Thanks Roger for hosting the fun fly. It may have been on the windy side, but I still had fun hanging out with friends and running old motors on the test stand. I got a personal tutorial from Bob on how to run some of my diesels and learned a lot.
I look forward to the next outing. I need to get working on an old time plane:)

Roger,
I apologize for whimping out 'cause of the wind. The wind has not been kind to me lately, i.e. Huntersville.

Is the Lake Wales Fun Fly on for this year? Last post I saw from Phil made it sound iffy due to flying site issues.
-
Chuck,
I believe the Lake Wales event is on!
Phil will probably post here to confirm.
Thanks for attending our event.

A truly memorable event. I drove 850 miles round trip and it was worth every minute, not only to honor Veterans but to enjoy flying with some very close friends. #^ #^
Well organized and fun flying. Wind? What wind - just a 15 t0 20 MPH gentle breeze. LL~ LL~
Everyone had fun. y1 y1
