I've been trying to find a vendor who sells a flight box kit that will hold a power panel, a dry cell battery and a gallon bottle of fuel. So far I have not found one. Any suggestions. As an alternative does anyone have plans that I can use to scratch build one?
Thanks

Peter: When I get home next week I will send you a picture of my box which is the same as offered here from TOWER. I think it's perfect. Bill Allen, De Kalb, IL

It's the whole selection that Tower has...

Pete, I use the Tower Hobbies Master Caddy, and like it a lot. I especially like the fact that I can disconnect the part containing the battery and panel and that a small number of support items can ne carried in the disconnected flight line box. It's then easy to take the smaller, lighter flight line box to the flight line, instead of the entire heavy bax.
I've designed a fiels box I plan to build one day that is CL specific, that also utilizes a smaller flight line box, but I haven't built it yet. I'll see if I can send you a set if you like. H^^

OK Peter, I found the drawing, and converted it to a .PDF file. You should be able to take the file to Kinkos and have it printed out to 36" X 42".
It's sparce on detail because I was drawing it for my own use, but someone with your experience should have no problems with it.
Enjoy

Why a gallon of fuel. I built my pit box to hold a few tools, power panel and a quart of fuel. I would like to make it lighter, but lately I just carry the Ni-Start and syringe with me to start the plane once on the circle. A few places require you to be fueled up before entering the circle. If plug blows after entering circle, take an attempt and change it. H^^
