It's worth every nickel!!

You can still buy them new..

I like those.
Funny thing is I got an old sitting by my building table. It is in need of some TLC. I picked it up second hand with a bunch of other RC stuff. Still love it, but it is starting to seem kind of big and HEAVY. A handle and wheels might change my mind.

And the shipping costs for that miniature wooden freight container would be? ;D

Wouldn't be without mine. It was a very good purchase.

My flight box's....what?

I got mine .

Larry,
I got mine also!
As I said, I designed this flight box in the middle 80's. Custom Woodcraft built it from my drawings, actually from 1/2 size drawings.
Their commercial unite measured only, 21.5" X 9.5" X 16". My unite measures 25" X 13" x 16.5".
Lots of features:
Five drawers, with adjustable spacer inserts.
Power panel/module.
Gas can hatch/area with magnetic door.
12 volt Battery hatch/area with magnetic door.
Four folding legs, lock up and down.
Fold out wing holders.
Fuselage holders, rise up and lock, fully adjustable.
Three carrying handles, two on the sides one on the top.
Brass, steel and aluminum hardware.
Plywood and maple hardwoods.
Pecan stained with a clear Urethane finish.

The last pic answered a question I had in mind. Now lets see someone build a box like that for less than what the one sold for.

I can do it, but the beast is waaaaay too big for my tastes, Mine fits in the trunk of my Buick with room for a 46 size ship. If I need more, I just go home.

I agree...it looks like it should be self-propelled and freeway-worthy, and surely at that size it must include a shower and air conditioning!
