Well, I will to. HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone.

2006 was a very good year for me. Some of the things that made it a good year was that on Labor day at an RC Fly In (sorry guys that was the only model airplanes around here at the time) I met a guy that was interested in trying control line flying again after 15 years. I had not tried it for 35 years. With his encouragement (and maybe a little push) I bought a Flite Streak ARF and found one of my old engines that would run. I found that it was just as much fun as it had been 35 years ago. Although it was late in the season I did manage to attend the contest at St. Louis and one day of the contest in Tulsa. I found that many things had changed in the last 35 years, but the one thing that was the same was that CL flyer's are still a great bunch of people. I made several new personal friends and thanks to Robert's efforts I now feel that I have over 900 new friends.

My wish for each of you is that 2007 may be as good or better year than 2006 was for me.

Hey, as long as we can still wake up to today.  When I worked the pool hall as a part time job, the owner had a little bar next door.  The guys/gals would step next door for a sip and then continue their game.  Lots of 8 and 9 ball competition.  But, back to tomorrow,  the owner had a sign in both places that stated  " Free Beer Tomorrow".  Seems they never caught on.  Anyway   HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE  .  DOC Holliday

Happy New Year to each and all
Doc, your comment reminded me of Fair's Lunch in Greenfield IN when I was a teenager.  It was a stag restaurant.  50 stools along a long bar.  At lunch time there would be 1 or 2 other guys standing behind each stool.  The reason it was "Stag" was the 5 pool tables in the back room.  Women could enter to the front counter and order "To Go".

Wishing everyone a safe and healthy New Year. Hopefully the world will learn to have peace and goodwill towards eachother. No more war would certainly be a novelty.
