Flaps vs Trim Tabs?
« on: December 17, 2010, 08:14:59 PM »
I decided not to connect linkage to the Phaeton II C/L conversion-lower wing[flaps].....I'm planning to use them like trim tabs. Are there any precedents for such an idea? What might be the pros and cons? All ideas and input greatly appreciated. H^^

Saw that Ward, thanks...that's what Ill do. Couldn't figure out any real benefit to having adjustable flaps. I made them static.

As I was told by our local stunt guru,  if flaps are lined up with each other, fix the warp or add a trim tab.  Just think a little about what the flaps are doing if they are not lined up with each other.   H^^
