Title: Flagstaff Arizone
Post by: EddyR on August 26, 2009, 06:33:35 PM: Anyone flying stunt in the Flagstaff Arizona? I go there quite often but this year in Sept I will be there for at least a week.

Heading northeast there is some flying activity in Farmington, 'bout 300 miles away through the great Navajo Nation. Or, you could drive from Flag to Gallup NM (186 miles), meet with me and we can head up to Farmington. Either way, enjoy your visit. 8)

However, you will have to "deviate" off of Route 66 onto Hwy 17 to get from Flagstaff to Phoenix. FWIW my favorite version of the Route 66 song is done by "Asleep at the Wheel" - good 'ol Texas Swing! 8)

I think I have been in just about every town between Phoenix and Salt Lake City. Anyone ever been to Bagdad Arizona? I have back in 1975.

I just noticed that the Route 66 car club in Fladstaff is having the once a year big car show the week we are there. I am sure we will get a lot of vintage Route 66 pictures and I will post a link to them when I get back,and I will stop in Winona.
