You can block pop-ups selectively, so if something very slow is being loaded
as a pop-up, you might fix that in Firefox pretty easily.
I switched from Mozilla to Firefox a couple of years ago, and it is definitely sleeker.
Also, I like the multiple tabbed viewing windows feature.
Not without its warts, but I recommend Firefox.
The companion newsgroup reader Thunderbird, on the other hand, I finally
just dumped because it seemed to get very slow, freezing up and becoming
unresponsive. I now use Outlook Express for newsgroups, and I have to say
it is quite snappy, amazingly so for a Mickey Microsoft program.
