  Needs more tip weight and move the front leadout back and the back leadout forward!

   I would give anything to be able to ride a unicycle. I used to be able to ride a good wheelie on a motorcycle. but that's not the same thing and that was a long time ago!

   Playing the mandolin (or ANY musical instrument) would be cool also. I don't know if you have noticed or not, Shug, but a lot of stunt guys play the guitar. Sometimes at the NATS or any contest where more than one shows up, some pickin' and grinnin' is liable to break out at any time!

The mandolin is the .35 of stringed instruments. Ukelele is a 1/2 A.

I love these. They brighten the day. Thanks, Shug. A couple of us play another instrument tuned like the mandolin, but we usually use a bow.

  Ii have to ask, Shug, are you aware of some of the feats of the late, great Jim Walker? The same guy whose name is on the Walker Cup at the NATS? He owned American Junior Aircraft up in Portland, Oregon, and put out the famous line of model kits and supplies with everything from simple ten cent gliders to the famous Fireball and Firebaby control line model kits that got so many guys started in the hobby. He would put on demonstrations at large contests by flying THREE Fireballs at once! One in each hand and one attached to a special helmet he wore. These were ignition engine powered so to regulate the speed, he had an blip button on each U-Reely handle and one in his teeth for the helmet controlled model. The little ten cent gliders I mentioned were a sorta P-80 Shooting Star looking glider with steamed in airfoil and dihedral. I have heard stories about and I think there are photos at least out there of him flying three or more of these gliders in a circle in front of him, like juggling horizontal! Launch a plane, then the next, then the next, and by that time the first one comes back around and grab it by the fuselage just right and throw it again all in the same motion! He had a radio controlled lawn mower that he would show off at contests also. A great showman! As much as he is known for control line models, he was one of the early greats and flying R/C models in a time when they were almost uncontrollable. There was a perpetual trophy for the early R/C event that he retired when he won it three times in a row! Just thought this would interest you, and is a great part of our modeling history and heritage.

Telecaster is a .46. Dobo a .52 Cello is a .60   Violin is atuned pipe! Banjo is a stooge....(just kidding there)

He is a true Hero. I've seen all his stuff but not the small gliders. He sure had skills and inventivness.

Like many other kids back in 1950's I road my bike to the flying field. I carried my plane and lines. The older guys supplied every thing else I needed.
Try shifting a down tube 10 speed carrying a Chief.

I've been playing guitar since I was 12.  Rock/folk/classical mostly. Played in the Honors Orchestra when I was in high school.  During my senior year I was asked if I could learn the violin.  I got the cheapest mandolin I could find and learned to kinda-sorta play it first, since it plays like a guitar of course but is strung and tuned like a violin.  Was a big help.  Got a decent electric-acoustic mandolin and violin that I play on occasion.

What has music and the talents of our control line have in common or to do with control line flying?   Me I gave up the cornet because I kept getting cold sores.   Couldn't make it in chorus either.  So I listen to all kinds of music while driving or in the shop.    If you could see my collection it would make you wonder.   Ever heard the song:  "Does your chewing gum lose its flavor on the bed post over night".    But,  I can see Shug is playing great music with his planes.   I also remember at VSC one year when the late Rusty Brown asked me if I forgot how to count my music, like 1a, 2 a, and 3a etc.

Yea, but can you chew gum, ride the unicycle, balance the plane and play the guitar?  Or walk a tight rope, balance the plane and play the guitar?  If you can do that, then I would say you got President Putin beat.
