Jim, if one applies thought here, you are religious just as much as I am. Atheism is a religion.  A dictionary I have defined religion as “Any belief, or system of beliefs, that is adhered to with ardor and faith”.   Given that you cannot disprove God’s existence any more than I can prove He does exist, we are both ultimately left believing what we do  by faith, thus we are both adhering to a religious faith.

Yup, when it gets right down to ground zero: One is either going to believe in a pre-existent Divine Creator (as I do), or one will have to believe in a pre-existent "gas" or "some form of matter" (primitive nebulosity) on which ALL evolutionary theories are based upon. Specifically, one is going to believe in something for which there is no explanation. SO... when you boil it down the most basic faith: It's either God or gas.

That is a prime example of how religious people make up lies.
Atheism is the answer to a single question. Do you believe a god exists. To claim it is a religion shows  a willingness to lie about the question. Are you the saying that a person whom is NOT a moder builder is still a hobbyist ? Because that is the kind of relationship your building with that false claim that both are religions. Atheist have NO meetings  or agreed dogma or doctrine of  any kind. So atheists even believe in supernatural. But I do not because there is NO good proof. It is religion whom uses these false uses of language to try and bolster their fanciful belief in things there is NO good evidence of.
