Title: First official flight on my Taube.
Post by: Clancy Arnold on June 20, 2011, 07:58:52 PM
My friend Frank Carlisle took video of my flight.  He did not edit out the problems we had as this makes it a true story.

Hope you enjoy watching what ends up as a sucessful flight.

Frank, fantastic video.  Yes Clancy is the pilot, but the plane is the star. LL~ LL~  After all these years it looks like Clancy was a little nervous.  Thanks to all involved with the video and flight.   H^^

Yep that was a way cool video Frank. I think you missed your calling. You should have been in TV productions. LL~

Clancy great job on the Taube!

I am improving.  At least this flight the ground loop was at the end, not at the beginning like I did with my P-38 in 1983.

I remember the Virginia Beach NATS in which the little lady came out with the cart on wheels to pick up peices. :'(

OUCH!!  I try to forget that flight.  That was my C-7A Caribou that went free flight across the circle and crashed right in front of the judges.

It earned it's third FAI-F4B NATS trophy that year.

The model was 76 In. WS, 60 In. nose to tail, with 2 HP 40 engines.  It all fit in a milk crate after that flight.
