So Will the pilot of the balloon shootdown count that as an aerial victory?

Will we get a balloon ace soon?

If that pilot gets 19 more, does he get the Blue Max?  Leutnant Stachel?

Obama got bin laden, Trump got isis and Biden got a balloon. Written on the side was "Weather Barroon" "Totary not for spying".
I may be wrong but I doubt it.

The shoot down itself is interesting, probably the highest air to air kill in history and a first for the F22.  They used the latest version of the Sidewinder but without a warhead, the idea was basically to poke the balloon which they accomplished.  The airplane was several thousand feet below the balloon itself.
