Title: First flights at AMA on the L-pad
Post by: Allen Goff on June 15, 2011, 07:27:37 AM
Roger Wildman and I went to AMA to fly yesterday for the first time this year, really getting a jump on practice for the "Nats", n~ Most went well.

You will notice a change when you approach the L-pad, the one way direction to the pavilion has changed, why, I don't know, but it has. You now turn left and circle clockwise instead of the other way around. We have new serface, it is nice and black and the circles outlined in bright white, it looks very nice.

Have a safe trip, see you at the "nats". #^ #^ #^

Blessings
Allen

I suppose it needed sealing, but, I really liked the light gray surface and it was very easy to see.

I hope the sealer is well and truly cured when we get there.  Melted tar on shoes, flightboxes and planes would really suck.

Allen,
Thanks for the update.  The entrance will cause some confusion with us controliners.  Most of us are used to going counter-clockwise.  I guess when we get there, we'll just have to think "inverted".  %^@

See you at the Nats too!

As long as you are not flying a black airplane you should be fine. I made that mistake once............They get very hard to see at 5 foot.
