Well Hello to ALL,
The very first "Big Jim Greenaway Memorial Stunt Contest" took place on Sunday of Memorial Day Weekend, May 25th. It was indeed a great day and theirs no doubt in my mind that the "Big Man" was looking out for us. He Blessed us with a glorious Sunny, Blue Sky, Mild Winds, Stunt Heaven Day. Of course the emphasis on "heaven".
After a great pilots meeting, morning prayer and the singing of "Our National Anthem", and might I add, everyone was in great voice, the contest got under way.
We also had a great "Out of town Guest", Gene Martine, who came along with Rich Giacobone from Jersey. Might I add that Gene borrowed my airplane and proceeded to beat me, going home with 3rd place in Expert PAMPA Stunt.

The Big Jim Greenaway "High Point Award" was won by Tom Cappadona, and the "Concourse de Elegance", Most Beautiful Airplane Award went to Windy Urtnowski.
The Club also decided to give out an "Outstanding Sportsmanship Award" which went to Jim Borrelli who has opened his door to everyone on the "Sunday Building Sessions" during the winter and let us not forget the outstanding hospitality from his Beautiful Wife Debbie, who puts up with all of us.
I would like to extend my many THANKS to Debbie, Lorraine, Melanie, Karyn and Atina, without their help no scores would ever get posted and no Raffle could have taken place.
I also want to thank Jose Modesto, who donated the "Porta Potty" for everyones comfort. We all know how important that little item can be.
Thanks to all the Judges, Jim Borrelli, Jose Modesto, "Sleepy" Dawson, Jim Demerel, Alex Ortiz and Ron Heckler. Thanks to all of you for helping me set up the field for a great event and a Big Special Thanks to the NYC Dept. of Parks and Recreation for a job well done maintaining our great flying facility. I look forward to seeing you all at the "Joe Ortiz Memorial Stunt Bash" which will take place on September 28th, 2008.
Remaining yours in STUNT,
"Champione"
