I just finished my profile Smoothie. I think it turned out pretty good. It is from a Dare kit. The kit was excellent quality throughout. It is powered with a Fox 35 with hemi head and stuffer backplate. Covered in silkspan and finished with Brodak dope. Brodak spinner. I found the spoked wheels in the electric RC dept. of the hobby shop. Weight without fuel is exactly 37 oz. Hope to get the first flights on it in the next few days.

Bill,
That is just gorgeous! Great work and love the paint scheme. Should be a great flier. Give us flight reports. I like the wheels.
Where did you get the "Dare Kit"?

Jim:
I got the kit from Sam and Sebra at S&S Hobbies (terrific people to do business with). Dare produces a very nice kit. You could not ask for better quality wood in a kit.

When you are down in PVB, give me a call and maybe we can meet up and do some flying. We have a grass site in St. Augustine that we can use during the week. On Sundays, we fly on a paved area at the old Cecil Field Naval Air Station on the west side of Jax. 904 797-5079.

Bill,
Good looking plane. I have one of the Dare Profile Smoothie kits that I got from Sam's. I should get off by butt and get it going.
