Title: Finaly, five years later.
Post by: Warren Walker on January 18, 2019, 02:25:10 PM
I made a New Years resolution to get off my butt and start building again.
First order of business was to finish some old projects. This version of the Red Baron was
started over five years ago, so it got moved around the shop a lot and suffered some hanger rash.
I made the decision to touch it up, finish the ink work shoot three coats of clear and just fly the crap out of it.

This is my first attempt at adding attachments hope it works.

Whoa, big fella!

It is only 18 days into the new year and you are already knocking major projects off your list?  Ya gotta pace yourself a bit, or you won't have anything on the list by April or May!

I especially like the "...fly the crap out of it" feature.  I'm gonna have to build that into my next one.

It looks great--I hope you enjoy it!

So far, so good, only missed one day of not doing something in the shop.
I'm also finishing a Humongous, about two hours away from paint, and today I
started a Mackey lark. The cool thing about the Lark is Charles gave me a lock of
his hair and a picture of him with the original lark, Charles had a full head back then.
and he will again soon, it's going on the pilot.

I’ve seen a lot of Warrens work over the years and I have to say this is his best effort yet.
Way to go Moe!!!!  (I taught him everything he knows😉)
