This was the kit I stumbled on at the local hobby shop. The only part from the kit I used was the leading edge and in hind sight I should have made a new one. It is also the plane I had the problem with the paint wrinkling up, in short it was not a fun build. Anyway here are some pictures, the only thing I need to do is make a canopy and I am waiting for Eric Rule to return from vacation to pull one for me.
It has flown three times, with the second flight having the best engine run. I am still working out some trim issues, but all in all it should do OK once trimmed.

Lookin' good, Andy. The LDZ has been among my favorites ever since I first saw one fly, c.1950 or '51. Bring it to VSC-26 next March?

Now how COOOOOL is that? Looks like it came out of the way-back machine - absolutely great Andy.

I'll be nice on this one. LL~ LL~ It looks great and should fly great once the little diesel is set up right. Get a hold of Lou Crane(spelling) or Jim Thomerson for diesel help.

Love it Andrew!! Hope it flies well for you.

Very cool Andy; You can tell us old R/C guys by the way we run the push rod out the side of the fuse to the elevator. Makes for easy adjustments.

You got that right Jim! Since there are no BOM points in Old Time I make it easy on myself.
Good to hear from you Jim.

I really like the looks of it, Andy! Looks just like it was back in the early '50s.
