We had a great turnout of determined workers, decent weather, and many blisters created. Lots of weed cutting, shovelling and sweeping was done. The pavement looks elderly, but there are no more weeds or grass in our flying and pit areas, so get thyself up/down/over to Centralia/Chehelis next weekend for some flying fun. y1 Steve

Whether I make it up there next week or not (it's kind of up in the air at this point), thank you all.

My plan to be there, thanks for the efforts guys

If I make it there with the Atlantis we can be 1 & 2 in the "worst public performance with a Paul-built aircraft".

If you have ever seen the History Channel's series titled "The World After Humans" you will have an idea of what it looked like before we started. Nature was attacking at an alarming rate. We are hoping weed killer applied in strategic locations will help slow it down. One source said the airport management will be in next week for more clean up and more weed killer, we can only hope.
Mark, look at the glass half full. You can be 1 & 2 with OPA's depending on Steve's inclination to fly his Whittle-built airplane. At any rate, we need people to fly to have a contest!

Steve, Mike, Howard, and all the others,
I'm sorry that I won't be able to come due to a prior commitment (X-country soaring in Calif., at least it's a flying thing) and want to thank you for your work. I'll be there for the September contest,if you'll still let me in. ::)

If you fly down, and I make it, I want to take a bazillion pictures of your plane. I kinda lost enthusiasm for doing a scale model of a Boring Old Cessna once I pondered all those corrugated control surfaces, but I still want the pictures. Extra points if you've got any panels that are in primer, or mis-matched to the rest of the plane -- I want to see how Mark judges a really true replica of such a plane.
