There comes a time in every YOUNG man's life when the unavoidable happens, and you are still young. The new knee will make you even younger and we can fly more at NEXT year's event.
Take care of yourself, Partner, you're now on the FCM prayer chaun. (And my personal prayer list.) S?P

Glad you and doctors caught the knee problem in time. Now take care of yourself. H^^

Allen:
So sorry to hear this! Get that knee fixed and hopefully we can try again in 2023...

Good news, and Dennis is now my hero!

FCM Meet has been a real fixture of the midwestern lack summer contest circuit. It would be a real shame for it to have to skip a year. I was talking to Bob MacDonald and he shared that sentiment. We agreed I should call Allen to see if there was anything that could be done for a last minute reprieve. Allen had already shut down a lot of the preparations, but upon further review it became evident that we COULD get it done and Allen has started to put it all back together (reserve field, order T-shirts, etc.)
Will & Crist: thanks for the vote of confidence, but I'm just hoping that we can make it through that day before the contestants form a posse to kidnap ALLEN to drag him to the field to git it done!!!

Hey Dennis, once the contest gets started, it'll be autopilot! It'll get done. Thanks for your help!

For those of us who are not familiar, where is the FCM contest held?
Thanks,
Teo

Hi Teo
FCM is held at the AMA flying site in Muncie Indiana, at the same site as the NATs.

Thank you Dennis. That puts the contest within the realm of the possible since I live in Michigan. As a side note, I met your dad in '94 or '95 at one of the Detroit contests; super friendly and gave a me a few great tips after watching me fly. That was the last time I flew in a C/L contest and would love to do it again. I do occasionally compete in R/C pattern and I enjoy the experience although I get clobbered on a regular basis; hopefully, I will fare a little better in C/L but I am pretty sure that I will not be a threat to anyone flying wise.
Thanks,
Teo
