Allen,
Those are the kind of pictures that I really like. H^^
Shows that you care about people, as well as airplanes.
Including people with their airplanes makes the photos so much more interesting, and particularly for a part time stunt spectator/fan like me.
The only thing that would make them better, would be names to identify the modellers, and any airplanes that do not have names visible.
I realize that many of you know each other, but a few of us lead really sheltered lives. ;D

So did Crist win OTS excuse me YOTS with his Electric Barnstormer ??? ???
-
Does it really matter what powers the plane. It is the flying that gets the score not the engine. In some parts of this great land of ours the IC engine is causing loss of flying sites even with mufflers. If electric was so easy, how come every body hasn't jumped on the band wagon? Congradulations to all that are flying at FCM contest this year. I need to get off my back side and get out there. Have fun fellows. R%%%%DOC Holliday

No Doc it doesn't matter one bit, I was just asking a question. Sure hope that's OK.
-
Lee,
Yup, I won OTS despite the fact that Russ Gifford was one of the judges! y1 YOTS? What does that stand for?
BTW Russ did congratulate me. Electric - "The future of Old Time Stunt"

Thanks for the pictures, Allen. It is a contest I had planned on attending a month or so ago, but plans changed. I am sure everyone has a great time!

Sunday, what a day. Great weather all week end. We did not get finished till 3:30, what a battle for expert champion. Kenny Stevens, Mike McHenry, and a tie with Chris Rudd and Matt Neumann, Chris taking the tie on first flight score. I'm tired, going to the floor now and watch some football and nap.

Special thanks to Allen Goff and the whole crew of volunteers that made this contest another success. It doesn't seem to matter when the contest is held, the weather has really been great. I of course got the opportunity to fly last in the second round and boy it was getting breezy. The poor Oriental got quite a workout!!
I would also like to say thanks the my Grampa, Dad, and Uncle Dennis for coming down and flying together again. It's a tradition I hope to keep for a while. It was great to see the Electric Swinger airborne. He got a pattern on the second flight and had (4) official flights without mishaps. The swept wing beauty looked great in the air!! He even got to fly in front of Jack Sheeks. After the flight, the airframe was signed and they took a pose for a great picture. What a great moment.
Christ, great job on the Barnstormer. Better yet, thanks for letting me fly it!! I can't wait to see your progress in electric stunt.

Thanks to Allen & crew for another great gathering. Special thanks to Will for leading the service on Sunday The key word here is "perspective".
Thanks to Jack for the Swinger design. It was test flown Friday evening and competitive on Saturday morning.
Finally THANKS to my nephew Archie who came up with some harware and software that really tamed & tuned the Swinger powerplant. CLP** BW@
Only downer: after he got home last night, Big Art discovered his house had been broken into...
Afraid I am thinking some very un-Christian things this morning...

So did Crist win OTS excuse me YOTS with his Electric Barnstormer ??? ???
It was my understanding that he used a very old electric engine!

Now wait a minute, " Electric Engine " boy that must have been old >:D >:DLL~ LL~ LL~ LL~ LL~

Dennis;
Sorry to hear about the break in. Not a good thing to come home to. That really sucks.
It has been great to see your whole family flying together. It puts a special touch on this contest, and the instruction I get from Big Art is always helpful. Looking forward to next year.

Many thanks to Allen and all the hard-working volunteers who helped make this an outstanding event. Also many thanks to Horizon Hobbies who donated several engines for the raffle (I won one -Yoo-Hoo!!!), to Walter Unland who donated some of his fabulous kits and a set of plans for every contestant, and to all the other sponsors.
